Gerald (Jerry) Ray White, beloved husband of Bernadette (Bernie) Ledden White and father of Michael White passed away on September 1, 2026 at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil White and Carolyn Utt, his beloved brother, Ronald (Ron) White, and sister-in-law, Iris Ann Ledden, SSND. He is survived by his sisters-in-law Ruth White and Jeanne Ledden and cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Growing up, he and his brother could be found at Dundalk Church of God functions when they weren't outside playing sports. His childhood was interspersed with thoroughly enjoyed massive family reunions in West Virginia and cross-country road trips in the days before Interstates. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army National Guard in 1970, Jerry parlayed a degree in Forestry from WVU into a successful landscaping company. Following retirement, he continued to work part-time for Graul's Market and Radebaugh Florist.

Jerry was known for his witty and droll sense of humor and his readiness to help others. His pastimes were as diverse as camping, playing the hammered dulcimer, and concocting the perfect spaghetti sauce. He especially enjoyed playing board games and watching nightly Orioles games with his son. A life-long avid reader, he could usually be found perusing three different books at once. For over 30 years he delighted friends and family at Christmas with his elaborately constructed Dickens Villages.

Friends may call at the family-owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd. (beltway exit 26), on Tuesday, September 8th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, and where a Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 9th at 11 AM. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
