On January 13, 2026, Francis Moran Feeley passed away peacefully in Timonium, MD. He is the cherished son of the late Harry Lawrence Feeley and Cora Feeley (nee Stirn); beloved husband of Dorothy Feeley (nee Lacey); loving brother of Mary Katharyn Cassady and the late H. Lawrence Feeley, Jr.; dear uncle of 52 nieces and nephews and 22 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Francis Moran Feeley, grandson of Irish immigrants, was raised in West Baltimore. He attended Saint Charles Minor Seminary and Saint Mary's Seminary in Baltimore. He received a BA degree before serving in the  U.S. Army, 1st Calvary in Japan. He married his sweetheart Dorothy Lacey in 1970. Fran worked for the U.S. Coast Guard for 25 years and was then recruited to the Social Security Administration for his talent in personnel management.

For over 50 years, Francis was active in the Knights of Columbus including as Grand Knight, State Deputy and Former Vice-Supreme Master in the Supreme Knight's Circle of Honor. Fran served on multiple committees for Saint Mary's Seminary, and on several committees for the Archdiocese of Baltimore including for the restoration of the Baltimore Basilica, the first Catholic cathedral in the United States. In 2003, the Holy See conferred a Knighthood on Sir Francis into the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem where he held the rank of Knight Commander. Ten years ago, Fran and Dorothy moved from their Lutherville home to the Mercy Ridge retirement community where they have family and countless friends.

Friends may visit at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Rd. on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from  1-3 & 5-7pm. Mr. Feeley will lie-in-state at the Stella Maris Chapel on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 10:30-11am, at which time the Funeral Mass will begin. The interment will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
