Frances Lenore Pettie, age 90, passed away quietly in the early morning hours of February 8, 2026. Born December 3, 1935, she grew up from an early age in the Gray Manor area.  Joyful days were spent from age 5 to 14 living on the property then known as Nooft's Farm, near Manchester and German Hill Roads. Attended Patapsco Neck Elementary and Dundalk Junior-Senior High schools. Worked 11 ½ years for Cooks Department Store (formerly Clarks), where she entertained co-workers with her own jokes, limericks, and heartfelt poetry, and made many good friendships.  As a Homecare Aide for 7 years she worked with Family Care and Community Home Health Care. Retired in 1996. Enjoyed homemaking and decorating, and especially working in the flower garden and yard. She was a very loving, supportive, caring mom to her two children. For Halloween she had great fun dressing in marvelous self-made costumes and surprising unsuspecting family and friends for trick-or-treat. She enjoyed decorating her home for all holidays.  Her deep and great joy in the past 38 years has been all the times shared with her much beloved grandson.

Frances was predeceased in 1986 by her husband Royce D. (Bill) Pettie.  Also predeceased by all siblings:  Bernard Newstrom, Irene Borowicz, Charles Smith, Dorothy Paciocco, Shirley Miceli, Laura Daley.
