On August 1, 2026, Eugene Zapiec, beloved husband of a few days short of 55 years to Monica Zapiec (nee Urbanek); devoted father of Lisa Zapiec and the late Gregory Zapiec; loving grandfather of Joseph Zapiec; dear brother of Eleanor Zapiec.

Gene was a son, husband, father, and grandfather with many interests.  He worked for 62 years, first at Westinghouse and then at Lockheed Martin.  He was a handyman, initially with his father on their house and then on his own homes.  Most of all he loved his wife, family, and his faith.  He was involved in Boy Scouts with his son Gregory, and shared the love of Polka Music with his daughter, Lisa.  He was always looking for an opportunity to fish, especially with his buddy/grandson, Joseph and enjoyed his involvement in the "Wish A Fish Foundation."

Friends may call at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd. (beltway exit 26), on Monday, August 10th, from 4 to 7 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Nativity, 20 E Ridgely Rd, Timonium, MD 21093, on Tuesday, August 11th, at 12 PM.  Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
