On July 13, 2011, Eugene "John" Macek, passed surrounded by his loving family, beloved husband of Agnes L. Macek (nee Hudlicka); devoted father of John A. Macek and his wife Marie, Donna R. Nelson and her husband Richard, Joseph F. Macek and Sandra J. Brennan and her husband Michael; loving grandfather of Adam, Tyler, Brianna, Alexa, Andrew, Ethan and Aaron; dear brother of Mary Stickel and Marge Smith. Also survived by many other family members and friends.

A Christian Wake service will be held at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc., 7922 Wise Ave. on Friday at 8:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Hope Church on Saturday at 10 AM. Interment Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM.
