On February 9, 2011 E. Joyce Hihn passed to eternal life, at the age of 87, she was the loving wife of C. Steuart Hihn, Jr. for 63 years, loving mother of Barbara J. Miller and her husband Gregg, Charles S. (Buddy) Hihn, III and his wife Deborah and the late R. Burton Hihn and his wife Mary, loving grandmother of Melissa Miller, Matthew Miller, Jason Hihn, Christina Ziegler, Ian Hihn, great grandmother of Hailey, Zachary and Matson Miller and Grace Ziegler, sister of Jane Roll and many cousins, and her dog Ardy. She enjoyed gardening, writing poetry and was an accomplished artist. She also taught Sunday School for 31 years at St. Johns Lutheran Church at Sweet Air.

Friends may call at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road (Beltway Exit 26A) Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Celebrating her life at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 3911 Sweet Air Road Phoenix, MD on Saturday from 10 - 11am, at which time a service will begin. Interment St. Johns Lutheran Church Cemetery.
