Peacefully on January 26, 2011 Dorothy M. Waltz of Towson, MD, born July 8, 1924 to Samuel Waltz and Dorothy Gill Waltz of West Chester, PA. Dot is survived by her four children, Bob, Bill, Dave, and Nancy; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dottie received bachelor's degrees from Ursinus and LSU, and a nursing degree in Maryland at age 58. She worked in chemistry and hospital labs in the 1940's and 1950's, and later practiced as a Registered Nurse in the Baltimore area until age 73. Dot was a passionate mother who was also especially active playing bridge; volunteering with the elderly and needy; as a member of Maryland Presbyterian Church; reading, history and travelling; and is remembered for her many, often funny stories of family and friends. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

A memorial service will be held at Edenwald, 800 Southerly Road, Towson, MD on Saturday, February 12 at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, cards may be sent to David Ihrie (7705 Arrowood Court, Bethesda, MD 20817) or memorial contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association (P.O.
