On September 7, 2011, Doris Marie Smearman (nee Jackson), beloved wife of the late Henry J. Smearman, Sr.; devoted mother of Henry "Tim" Smearman, Jr. and his wife Joyce, Mary Bridges, Diane M. Romley and her husband Dr. Victor G. Romley and John W. Smearman and his wife Tracy; dear sister in law of Joan and Gerry Jackson. Also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc., 7922 Wise Ave. on Thursday and Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. Mrs. Smearman will lie in state at the Merritt Park Baptist Church on Saturday from 10:30 to 11 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM. Interment Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
