On Saturday, January 11, 2025, Donald Thomas Busick passed away peacefully at Mercy Ridge Assisted Living. He was 100 years old. Donald's beloved wife, Helena Busick (nee Orndorff) passed away in December 2023, they were married 65 years. Loving father of Jeffrey Busick, Beth Busick Bolton (Bryan Bolton), and David Busick; cherished grandfather of Andrew Bolton (Mia Bolton, wife), Philip Bolton, Mariel Bolton, Genevieve Bolton, and Matthew Busick; great grandfather of Colbie Bolton. Born and raised in the Hamilton neighborhood of Baltimore, MD., Donald was the son of the late William Lee Busick and Marguerite Philbin. His two sisters, Mary Helen Fulca and Mary Jane Henderson, preceded him in death. Donald was the beloved Uncle and Godfather to many nieces and nephews. He attended St. Dominic Primary School, City College and University of Baltimore before joining the Navy in 1943. After his honorable discharge in 1946, he worked for Boeing Aerospace in CA, Bendix Frieze in Baltimore, and Cornell Dubilier Electronics in MA. In 1970 he began a new career in real estate in Baltimore, becoming a Realtor, a Broker and then Builder & Land Developer. Donald was an avid sailor, and was actively sailing on his sailboat up until his late 80's. Visitation will be held at Stella Maris Chapel on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 10:30AM until 11AM at which time a Memorial Mass will begin. Reception will follow in the PAC at Mercy Ridge. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made in Donald's name to Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, or The Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors (GBBR) Charitable Foundation.
