On November 1, 2009, Demetra Metalios (nee Parthemos),87, beloved wife of the late Peter Metalios; devoted mother of Vaio Metalios and his wife Kathryn and Margo Marck and her husband John; loving grandmother of Deanna Thompson and Michael Metalios, and great-grandmother of Julia, Morgan, Peter, and Zoe; Dear sister of Pauline Slattery and her daughter Paulette Heinlein and the late James Parthemos and Mary Mosca. Also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

A trisaghion service will be held at the family owned Leonard J. Ruck, Inc. Funeral Home, 5305 Harford Road ( at Echodale) on Tuesday, 7:30PM.
Mrs. Metalios will lie-in-state at the chapel of The Holy Resurrection at the Greek Orthodox Cemetery, Windsor Mill Road, Wednesday 10:30-11:00am, the funeral hour. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 3-5 and 7-9PM.
