On December 16, 2024, David Bradley Schott entered the glorious company of the saints in light. Dave is the beloved son of the late Carl and Amelia Schott; and devoted brother of the late John Carl Schott. Dave was born on October 10th, 1944 in Baltimore, MD. Dave attended high school at City College, graduating in 1961. Following his graduation, Dave received his bachelors degree from George Washington University in 1966, after beginning his college coursework at Ohio Wesleyan University. Additionally, Dave received a master's degree in international relations from Johns Hopkins University. Dave served his country faithfully after being drafted into the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Dave served as an air traffic controller at Tansinut Air base and for a brief time operated an Air Force listening post in Thailand. After completing his service, Dave spent his working years selling greeting cards. Dave found immense joy in folk music, supporting local Baltimore artists and ensembles, salsa dancing, and supporting the ministry of Ascension Lutheran Church in Towson, MD. Dave was one of the people instrumental in starting and keeping Ascension's partnership with the Lutheran Church in Nicaragua, Fe y Esperanza. Dave's greatest passion was working towards global peace, actively participating with organizations such as Veterans for Peace and Casa Baltimore Limay. Dave will be missed by his many friends and the church family he made at Ascension Lutheran.

A funeral service will be held for Dave at Ascension Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. on January 11th. The interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dave's name to the Nicaragua Partnership of Ascension Lutheran Church.
