On January 6, 2011 David John Preller, Sr., beloved husband of Pearl M. Preller (nee Maenner), devoted father of David John Preller, Jr. and wife Catherine, Barbara Hazzard and husband Jonathan, Deborah Vernon, father in law of Dorsey Smith, loving grandfather of David John Preller, III and wife Jennifer, Ryan F. Preller and wife Shelly, Gary Lee Smith and wife Sadie, Allison Hart, Max Hart, Scott Vernon, Emily Vernon, great grandfather of four. He founded the Law Offices of Preller and Preller in 1950; his surviving partners include his son, grandson and Dilip B. Paliath.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Texas on Tuesday at 10am. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
