The family of David Warren Kelbaugh is deeply saddened to announce his passing in Towson, Maryland on May 18, 2026, at the age of 80. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, "Dave" lived a life filled with laughter, compassion, and love for his family and friends.
David grew up surrounded by his seven siblings, attending Immaculate Conception and Towson High schools. He was a member of the Air Force, and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for his service in Vietnam. He was a natural salesman, and worked the majority of his career selling BMW's for Schwing Motor Company and Towson BMW. He loved airplanes, classic cars, golf, the Ravens, and reading a good book.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Debbie; their sons, Christopher and his wife Jennifer, and Benjamin and his wife Elizabeth; and his adoring grandchildren, James, Alex, Annie, and Graham Kelbaugh.
David is survived by his siblings, Ronald Kelbaugh (Pat), Michael Kelbaugh (Nancy), Debbie Sparks (Darswell), and John Kelbaugh (Michelle). He is predeceased by his parents, Beatrice (nee Knighten) and Edward Tilden Kelbaugh, Sr.; and his siblings, Joan Carol Bauer, Edward Tilden Kelbaugh, Jr., and Thomas Kelbaugh.
Friends and family may gather for a Receiving of Friends at Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd., Towson, MD 21204, on Wednesday, May 27th, from 3 to 7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 28th, at 10 AM, at St. Joseph Parish, 100 Church Lane, Cockeysville, MD, 21030.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of David Warren Kelbaugh may be directed to support general cancer research at The Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center.
