On July 2, 2026, Claire Berg Rosse' passed away peacefully in Timonium, with her loving husband and sisters. Claire was born on October 17, 1945, in Norristown, Pennsylvania to the late David Marion Berg and Lillie May Berg (nee Campbell); She is the beloved wife of William H. Spinelli, Ph.D,; devoted mother of Claude Duvan Rosse' III "LC"; loving sister of Arlene Berg Harris and her husband Ralph, Liesa Berg Wyman and her husband the Honorable Steven Wyman, and the late Barbara Berg Seuffert and her surviving husband Steven Seuffert; Claire is also survived by her much loved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Claire was an entrepreneur, a steadfast supporter of the nursing profession, and a passionate advocate for young women pursuing education and business. She was a pillar of our community, whose generosity, leadership, and belief in others made a lasting difference. Her absence will be deeply felt, and her legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Mercy Ridge on Tuesday, July 7th, at 10:00am. The interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Mercy Ridge Scholarship fund. This fund awards scholarships to student workers at Mercy Ridge and was very dear to Claire.
