On February 14, 2026 Christine E. Barnes left this world leaving behind cherished memories; beloved wife of the late Bennett Barnes and the late Ferrie Brooks, devoted mother of the late Michael Brooks; cherished grandmother of Eric Brooks and his 2 children, dear sister of Carlene Martin, the late Everett Ray Brooks, the late Horace Brooks, the late Norris Brooks, the late Clifford Brooks, the late William Brooks, the late Wayne Brooks, the late Audrey Wheeler, the late Muriel Adkins, the late Joan Brooks. Also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews including Debbie Widmeyer who lovingly cared for Christine in her later years.

A committal service will be held at Gardens of Faith Cemetery on Friday February 20, 2026 at 2 PM. Friends may visit the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc. 7922 Wise Avenue on Friday February 20, 2026 from 11AM-1PM.
