On September 22, 2024, Christena Elaine Struben, age 82, cherished wife of Lawrence R. Minton, Sr., passed peacefully at home and into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior.  Born in Baltimore and known to family and friends as, Christy; daughter of the late Howard J. Struben and the late Jonamay Dixon Struben; devoted mother of Howard Bruce Gorski and wife Renee Gorski with Bruce's father, the late Garfield "Gar" Gorski; impassioned sister of Nancy Robinson and husband Lewis Robinson, Marie Tassone and husband Anthony "Rick" Tassone, and Deborah Struben and husband Michael Butler; nurturing grandmother to Benjamin Gorski and Zachariah Gorski; stepmother to Lawrence "Larry" Minton, Jr., Patrick Paparelli, and Richard Minton; as well as, step-grandmother to Ashley Minton, Briana Minton, Anastasia Minton, and Susan Frise.

A Baltimore County Public Schools teacher and administrator, who after her retirement, devoted her remaining life to compassionately enhancing the spiritual and earthly wellbeing of her family.  Christy is survived by many loving and wonderful in-laws, nieces, nephews, and family members.

A visitation will be held at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc., 7922 Wise Avenue on Friday September 27, 2024 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday September 28, 2024 at 10 AM. Interment, Oak Lawn Cemetery
