Charlie Shifflett, age 93, passed away peacefully at his home on January 28, 2026.

Charlie was born on August 7, 1932, in Green County, Virginia. A hardworking man throughout his life, he spent his career as a truck driver and took great pride in his exceptional safety record, a testament to his dedication, skill, and responsibility behind the wheel.

Charlie had a deep love for bluegrass music and especially enjoyed attending bluegrass shows whenever he could. In his younger years, he was passionate about racing cars, a love that stayed with him throughout his entire life. Whether watching or talking about racing, it always brought him joy.

Above all, Charlie cherished his faith and his family. He was a devoted member of the South Dundalk Congregation and lived his life guided by strong beliefs and values. He was the proud father of ten children and leaves behind a large and loving family, including 14 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linnie Shifflett; his son, Jay Shifflett; and his grandchild, Tim Shifflett.

A Funeral service will be held at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc. 7922 Wise Avenue on Saturday February 7, 2026 at 10 AM. Friends may visit on Friday February 6, 2026 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Internment Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
