On August 25, 2025 Charles Dennis Hoover, dear husband of Nancy C. Hoover and the late Dolores C. Hoover, father of Dennis P. Hoover, the late David S. Hoover, and Dawn M. Green, brother of the late Maxine Faye Fitchett. He is survived by a loving family of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Over a diverse career spanning decades, Dennis was a dedicated schoolteacher, became a vision therapist, and played in numerous popular bands. He had distinguished service in the Korean war and was active in the Jacksonville VFW for many years. He loved to entertain and won many awards over the years.
