It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cathy Gansert, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who died on January 16th, 2024.

Cathy was the beloved wife of Philip Gansert and a loving mother to her two children, Christopher and Rebecca. Her heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren—Henry, Arlo, and Hazel—who were a constant source of joy in her life.

A proud graduate of Towson State University, Cathy had a lifelong passion for learning and personal growth.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandy and her son Christopher. Cathy is survived by her loving husband, Philip; her daughter Rebecca and her grandchildren, Henry, Arlo, and Hazel; her sister, Bobbi; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A receiving of friends to celebrate Cathy's life will be held at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd. (beltway exit 26), on Wednesday, January 22nd. from 11 am  to 12 pm, at which time a Memorial Service will begin.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to CCBC Foundation, Christopher Gansert Drama Scholarship fund, 7200 Sollers Point Road, Baltimore MD 21222.

Cathy's legacy of love, generosity, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
