On August 22, 2010 CATHERINE E. STIFLER, Ph.D.(nee Schmaus) beloved wife of Norman Stifler. Devoted mother of Jo Anne Lindenberger and step-mother of Shirley Machovec. Loving grandmother of Jakob and Jesse Schutz and Tara and Robert Machovec. Devoted sister of Henry Edward Schmaus. Dr. Catherine Stifler, Ph.D taught nursing at University of Maryland and started the Vocational Nursing Program at Baltimore County Public Schools. She was involved in all nursing duties including rehabilitation and operating room.

Friends may call at the family-owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road (beltway exit 26) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Dr. Stifler will lie-in-state at Oak Crest Chapel on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 10:30 AM when the funeral mass will be celebrated. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
