Catherine Schmidt, 69, of Belcamp, MD, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024. Catherine was a proud member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 486. She had a passion for reading and enjoyed watching crime shows in her free time.

She was the devoted mother of Wendy Lawson, Christina Curran and Christopher Doron, Marian and Steve Mally Sr., and Chad Rittenberry. Catherine was the cherished daughter of Marion Simmons (née Ravenscroft) and the late William Simmons Sr. A loving grandmother (Mom-Mom) to Gregory Jr. and Hannah Lawson, Tyler and Hailie Curran, Sophia and Steven Jr. Mally, and Emma and Sean Doron. She was also a proud "Fur Mom" to her late chocolate lab, Buddy Schmidt.

Catherine was a beloved sister to Bonnie Smelser, Tina and Joseph Fuller Sr., Deborah and Bobby Morton Sr., Mary Haga, William Simmons Jr., Evelyn and Robert Shriver, and the late Thomas Simmons. She was a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews, who will always hold her memory close.
