On March 22, 2011 CATHERINE BISHOP FOWBLE of Towson, formerly of Timonium and Monkton. Born on October 31, 1915 in Monkton, she was the daughter of the late Lee Barney Bishop and Helen Manford Bishop. She attended Monkton School and graduated from Sparks High School in 1932. She attended Western Maryland College for two years before graduating from the nursing program at Union Memorial Hospital in 1937. With the exception of a few years she continued working at the hospital and as a school nurse until she retired at age 65. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Towson. She was a long-time volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She had an intense interest in gardening and for sometime maintained a greenhouse raising orchids and garden flowers. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Fowble of Healdsburg, CA and Bette Jo (Josie) Toms of Richmond, VA.
