Catherine D. "Kay" Brown died Thursday afternoon, November 7 at Ascension St. Agnes Hospital in Catonsville, MD.  She was born July 5, 1936, in Warren, OH, the daughter of William D. and Catherine Faulkner Driscoll.

Kay was raised in Warren, OH and graduated from Howland High School.  She went on to earn an AA degree from Monticello Women's College in St. Louis, MO.  After graduating, she returned to Warren and worked until she married William "Bill" Brown.  Kay was an active member of Howland Community Church, where she taught Sunday School and held many volunteer positions.  She was involved with the community through the Warren Chamber Orchestra on whose board she sat and was a member of the Ohio Orchestras Board.  Kay served on the Ladies Auxiliary of Trumbull Memorial Hospital for more than 20 years.

She was an avid golfer and enjoyed learning about the rules of golf.  She even qualified to be an official for golf tournaments.  Kay enjoyed traveling and spending time with her beloved husband, William "Bill" Brown, who preceded her in death.

Kay is survived by her sister, Dorothy, her daughters, Susan C. Brown of Baltimore, Maryland and Jennifer H. (Dave) Lewis of Warren, Ohio and a beloved granddaughter, Nicole Lewis of Youngstown, Ohio.  She was preceded in death by brothers William and Thomas Driscoll.

The Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 30 at Towson United Methodist Church, 501 Hampton Lane, Towson, MD 21286.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Howland Community church Endowment Fund, 198 Niles Cortland Rd.
