Edgemere, MD resident, Carolyn "Phyllis" Ducar (nee Fox) died Wednesday July 24th at the age of 77. The devoted daughter of the late Edgemere residents Leonard I. Fox and Violet M. Fox (nee Rice). Devoted wife of the late Joseph G. Ducar who she married at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in Sparrows Point, MD on January 23, 1965. Devoted and loving mother of Kimerly M. Campitelli (nee Ducar), Denise P. Ducar and Monique K. Ducar, grandmother of Amy "Nicole" VanGosen-Pressley, great grandmother of Octavia V. Pressley, sister of Richard L. Fox, the late Donald L. Fox and the late Sandra A. Auch (nee Fox) and aunt to Richard D. "Chipper" Fox, Randell M. "Randy" Fox, Corey O'Neill, Kathy O'Neill, the late Danielle S. Campbell (nee Auch), Karla D. Auch and Keith D. Auch.

Phyllis attended both Edgemere Elementary and graduated from Sparrows Point Junior/Senior High School in 1964. She was a Eucharistic minister at St. Luke's, a member of Rebeca's Lodge and the Edgemere chapter of The Women of the Moose. She enjoyed going to Wildwood, NJ every summer before her daughters went back to school, it was a girl's trip that included her mother, Violet. She also enjoyed doing backyard work like cutting the lawn, trimming the shrubberies and swimming in the backyard pool.

A visitation will be held at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc., 7922 Wise Ave. on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 7517 North Point Rd., Sparrows Point, MD 21219 on Tuesday at 10 AM.  Entombment, Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
