Carla Ann Gonzalez, age 62, passed away on January 2, 2026 from lung cancer. Carla was raised in Dundalk, MD by her late parents, Paul Wilson III and Patricia A. Wilson (nee Straka). She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert S. Gonzalez, stepchildren Samantha Rice (Thomas), Steven Gonzalez, and precious granddaughter Evelyn Rice; brother Paul Wilson IV (Rayanne), sister Caryn Sierakowski (David) and nieces/nephews Lindsey Huchenski, Paul Wilson V (Jack), Elizabeth Lucas, Zachary Sierakowski and their spouses and children.
Carla was a graduate of Dundalk High School, Dundalk Community College and Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, OH. One of her greatest accomplishments was completing her B.A. degree in Organizational Leadership while working full-time, raising a family and serving in extracurricular activities in Medina, OH. During her earlier years, Carla worked in HR & Employee Benefits for Johns Hopkins University, T. Rowe Price and several other notable companies. She worked for Honeywell from 2013-2021 as an Executive Assistant.
After her diagnosis, she transferred her skills to learning as much as she could about non-small cell lung cancer and EGFR Exon20, the mutation which went haywire triggering the cancer to grow.
Friends may visit at Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7922 Wise Avenue, on Friday, January 9th from 3-7pm. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Saturday, January 10th at 10am. Interment Oak Lawn Cemetery, 7225 Eastern Avenue.
