On September 11, 2009, C. EUGENE SCHMIDT; beloved husband of Ernestine Schmidt (nee Starkloff); loving father of Lawrence E. Schmidt and his wife Linda, and Diane S. Knott and her husband Joseph; dear grandfather of Jill, James and Jeffrey Williams, Kelly Templeman, Jacqueline and Caroline Schmidt and Matthew Knott; five great-grandchildren also survived.

The family will receive friends at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Road (beltway exit 26A), Monday 6 to 8 P.M., and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. A Memorial Service will be held September 28, 11 A.M., at the Towson United Methodist Church, 501 Hampton Lane, Towson, MD, 21286. The family suggest memorial contributions in his name to the above church.
