Bryon Douglas Lundell, age 70, of Phoenix, Maryland, passed into the hands of God on October 14, 2024.

Born to Carl and Dorothy Lundell in Steiger, Illinois, on June 27, 1954, Bryon graduated from Bloom High School and attended Illinois State University, where he met his beloved wife, LuAnn.

Bryon and LuAnn celebrated 47 years of marriage on September 17. Together, they were blessed with three daughters whom he deeply cherished: Kara (Jason) Yeager of Lutherville, MD, and their children Reed, Claire, and Josie; Ericka (Brett) Butler of Baldwin, MD, and their sons Alex and Blake; and Allison (Jon) Cook of Baldwin, MD, with daughters Adeline and Laine. Bryon is also survived by his sister, Sandy (Bill) Pieper of Vernon Hills, IL, and his brother, Alan (Diana) Lundell of LaPorte, IN. He also cherished his brothers-in-laws, Paul (Kelly) and Dwight Schuler of Lexington, IL. He held his many nieces and nephews close to his heart.

A dedicated Human Resources professional, Bryon most recently worked for Black and Decker and Alpharma Pharmaceuticals, while also providing valuable expertise through his own consulting business. He actively volunteered at St. John's Lutheran Church and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

Bryon was passionate about sports, playing high school football and rugby in college, and he was inducted into the ISU Rugby Hall of Fame. Golf held a special place in his heart, and he also enjoyed cooking for others and traveling to various countries. He took great joy in watching his grandchildren play sports and nurture their creativity.

Bryon's life will be celebrated on Friday, October 25, 2024. A service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM, located at 3911 Sweet Air Road, Phoenix, MD. Following the service, everyone is encouraged to join us in a celebration of his life at Eagle's Nest Country Club, 12801 Stone Hill Road, Phoenix, MD, beginning at 12:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions in Bryon's memory be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to friends, family, and the community for the love and support that surrounds them during this time.
