Brandon Errol Schaefer February 3, 1971 – April 3, 2026
Brandon E. Schaefer, 55, passed away unexpectedly from a catastrophic brain stem aneurysm on April 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories.
Born on February 3, 1971, Brandon lived life with passion, purpose, and a deep appreciation for the people around him. Brandon was the devoted husband of Karen Schaefer, his partner of 29 years, whose life was intertwined with his through love, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising their cherished daughters, Stephanie Schaefer, Kristin Schaefer, and Kylie Schaefer, who were the center of his world and his greatest pride.
He was adored and predeceased by his mother, Dolores Schaefer (Dolly) and is survived by his devoted father, William H. Schaefer, Jr. (Bill), and his stepmother Vicki Romine Schaefer.
He is also survived by his loving siblings, brothers Willian H. Schaefer III, Kevin Schaefer (Peggy Freeman Schaefer), and sister Robyn Schaefer, along with many extended family members and dear friends. Brandon was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Schaefer (Mary Bagliani Schaefer) whom he held close in his heart.
A graduate of Northwood University in Florida, he earned a BBA in Automotive Marketing and Management. Brandon built a distinguished career as part-owner and General Manager at Nationwide Automotive Group, a family-owned and operated business for over 60 years, where he was known for his leadership, integrity, and dedication. His work ethic and commitment left a lasting impact on colleagues and the community alike.
Beyond his career, Brandon embraced life fully. He was a passionate "foodie" who loved cooking and creating gourmet meals for those he loved. Whether in the kitchen or around the table, he found joy in bringing people together.
An adventurer at heart, Brandon had a deep love for the outdoors and the thrill of new experiences. He was an avid sportsman and true marksman who enjoyed motocross, watersports, and life on the water. His energy, curiosity, and fearless spirit made every moment with him an adventure.
Above all, Brandon's greatest passion was his family. He loved deeply and gave generously, always putting others before himself. His warmth, humor, and larger-than-life presence created a bond with family and friends that will never be broken.
Brandon also gave back selflessly, supporting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation through years of event sponsorship and fundraising efforts, touching countless lives through his generosity and compassion. Brandon Schaefer will be remembered for his generosity, passion for life, and deep devotion to his family.
Visitation is at Ruck Funeral Home, Towson, on April 16 from 2–4 and 6–8 p.m.
Burial will be private. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
