On July 30, 2024, Antonio Maciel beloved husband of Sandra Vincent Maciel; devoted father of Antonio Luis Maciel, Tomas Alejandro Maciel and his wife Marie, and Laura Maciel Erdman and her husband Ronald; loving grandfather of Henry, Will, Addie, Alex, Marcos, and Felipe; dear brother of Joséluis Maciel, Rebeca Basulto, Carlos Maciel, and Rosana Hurtado.

Antonio was born in Guadalajara, Mexico.  He met his wife, Sandra, while in grad school at the University of Delaware.  They moved back to his native Mexico and raised their 3 children in Mexico City.  He worked for most of his life as a chemical engineer with the American Cyanamid Co, giving him ample opportunity to travel the world to set up his manufacturing plants.  In 1985 he moved his family to West Milford, NJ where he lived until shortly before his death.  Antonio was an avid golfer, chef, foodie, and tequila historian.
