On January 14, 2012 Antonio R. Jara died. Antonio was born on June 13, 1931 in the Province of Ilocos Sur, Cabugao in the Philippines. He was the son of Glicerio and Felisa Ramos Jara. He is survived by devoted wife Winifred Nancy Jara; his four children Maria Jara Fiore Scarbrough, Elisa Jara Paolucci, Antonio M. Jara, and Brian R. Jara; and eight grandchildren.

Antonio spent a long career as an anesthesiologist at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, and was a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. After his retirement in 1995, he spent his time doing what he loved: cooking, watching television, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Friends may call at the family-owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road (beltway exit 26) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11 AM. Interment at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
