On September 8, 2025, Andrew Bonthron, Jr. died peacefully in Parkville, Maryland. He is the beloved husband of Joan M. Bonthron (nee Renehan) and the devoted father of Andrew "Drew" J. Bonthron and his wife Alice and Carol J. Crist and her husband Ken. Andy is the cherished grandfather of Ami Crist, Mary Beth Ballweber and her husband Sean, and James Knapp and his wife Trini, and great grandfather of Clare Ballweber. He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew Bonthron, Sr. and Margaret Egan Bonthron and by his siblings Mary Butts, Margaret French, Mildred O'Brien and Harry Lawson Bonthron. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the family-owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 4PM-7PM. Mr. Bonthron will lie in repose in the Oak Crest Village Chapel 8800 Walther Blvd. Parkville, MD 21234 on Monday from 10AM – 11AM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
