Amos "Bucky"
Lafontaine
d. Mar 27, 2025
Amos "Bucky" LaFontaine, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, surrounded by his son, Matt, daughter-in-law, Megan, and loyal pup, King. Known affectionately as Bucky, he was a man whose boundless warmth and infectious joy touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Bucky was a devoted husband to his late wife, Ruth LaFontaine. With a heart full of love and resilience, he carried on her legacy through his passionate commitment to caring for others. To Bucky, no problem was too big to fix, no stranger too distant to welcome as family, and no sorrow
too heavy to lighten with his signature phrase, "It's all good." His hands were skilled at mending broken things, and his spirit was even more adept at healing broken hearts. A widower who never let loss dim his light, Bucky found solace and companionship in his beloved dog, King, who remained by his side until the very end. His life was a testament to the power of love, laughter, and the simple joys, especially NASCAR, that he so effortlessly shared with those around him. He leaves behind a son, whose path forward will be guided by the example of a father whose shoes will be impossible to fill, yet whose lessons of kindness and strength will endure.
Bucky now rests peacefully, reunited with his cherished Ruth. Their love eternal in the hearts of all who knew them. His memory will live on in the countless lives he brightened, the family he built, and the quiet comfort of knowing that, in Bucky's world, it truly was "all good." On March 27, 2025, Amos "Bucky" LaFontaine, beloved husband of the late Ruth Ellen LaFontaine (nee Schwartz); devoted father of Matthew E. LaFontaine and his wife Megan Case; dear brother of Paulette Price and the late Oliver LaFontaine; loving uncle of Michael LaFontaine, Steve LaFontaine, Brian Price, Jeffrey Price, Dawn Stevens, and Jason Price.
