Allen Brock Schwitzer passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, in Towson, Maryland. He now joins his beloved wife of 67 years, Barbara Hurlbrink Schwitzer, who passed away on October 31, 2025.

A proud graduate of the United States Naval Academy (Class of 1958), Allen served in the U.S. Navy before beginning a long and successful career in sales, including roles with Leeds & Northrup and Integral Marketing.

Allen loved sailing, dogs, and sports of all kinds, especially Baltimore Orioles baseball. He will be remembered as a true gentleman who selflessly cared for Barbara, and for his wicked sense of humor - telling anyone who would listen that he was George Clooney.

He was the devoted father of Blair Taylor, Richard Brock Schwitzer (Mary), and Janet Schwitzer Nolan (Paul); a loving grandfather of Lauren Taylor Wagandt (Charles), Nicholas Allen Taylor, Leah Taylor Carter (Kenneth), Kaylee Schwitzer Yarrow (Miguel), Kyle Tucker Schwitzer, Connor Michael Nolan (fiancé Kylie Ginsburg), and Meredith Blair Nolan; and a cherished great-grandfather of Molly and Chase Wagandt. He is also survived by his half-brother, Dan Chapman (Nancy), and their children, Russ Chapman (Rachelle) and Jan Vicary-a family Allen was grateful to have discovered later in life.
