Obituary

Alice Mae Jaworski (née Nash), beloved wife, sister, and friend, passed away after a life filled with devotion, creativity, and quiet strength. Born to Charles Henry Edward Nash and Mary Virginia Nash (née Bradshaw), Alice grew up alongside her siblings Charles Henry Edward Nash, Jr., Mary Virginia Banz, and John Ephraim Nash. She graduated from Patterson High School in 1952.

Alice met the love of her life, Raymond (Ray) Jaworski, the night before he left for the Army. A chance late‑night conversation in her car sparked a four‑year letter-writing courtship while Ray was away. They married on April 1, 1956, at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, beginning a 70‑year marriage grounded in patience, partnership, and their promise never to go to bed angry.

Alice worked for C&P Telephone Company and later Good Samaritan Hospital, where she discovered her talent for numbers and became the family's trusted financial mind. She enjoyed training her dogs, and chatting with truckers on her CB radio under the handle "Custom Made."

After retiring, Alice and Ray became a team in the banjo music world—Alice running sound, recording performances, and producing CDs and DVDs that helped musicians share their work. Their dedication took them across the country and earned them the Jack Canine Award and induction into the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame in 2016.

Alice's life was defined by love—love for Ray, for her family, for her dogs, for music, and for the many people whose lives she touched. She will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, her steady presence, and the way she poured her heart into everything she did.
