Obituary

Mrs. Carneal, a native of Baltimore, MD, passed at her residence in Newport News on June 15th, surrounded by her family and friends.
Mrs. Carneal was born on August 12th, 1930 in Baltimore to William and Anna Payson (Strunge). She attended catholic school in the local area and upon graduation, she worked as a secretary for the City of Baltimore Transportation Authority. She married Owen H. Carneal on October 11th, 1959.
During her lifetime, Mrs. Carneal lived in many different states across the country, but her heart was always in Maryland. As her children grew up, she loved to volunteer at their schools, and she loved to teach children to read.
Mrs. Carneal is survived by her daughter, Anna, and by her two sons, Andrew and Owen, Jr. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Sue, her three grandsons Tyler, Jordan, and Nathaniel, and Andrew's fiancée, Dawn. She will be sorely missed by grand dogs Foxy and Sadie.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Owen, her brother Will, her two sisters Dorothy and Edith, and by her baby Charles.

Visitation will be held at Ruck Funeral Home in Towson, MD on June 18th at 12 noon. Immediately following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:30pm.
Mrs. Carneal's family would like to give special thanks to the loving caregivers at Visiting Angels and Personal Touch Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.
She will be greatly missed.
