On November 5, 2009 Alfred C. "Step" Stepowany (81) of Fells Point, beloved husband for 28 years of Mary Ellen Stepowany (nee Rather); devoted father of Sharon Kelchner, Michael (Mary Beth) Stepowany, Albie (Marsha) Stepowany, Mary Susan (John) Forsythe, James Stepowany, Joanne (James) Olsen, Vickie (Chris) Stark, caring brother-in-law Edward Rather and Mother-in-Law Elizabeth Rather. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and his beloved dog, Penny. Preceeded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Stepowany.


Family and friends may call at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home Inc, 1050 York Road (Beltway Exit 26A) on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Casimir Church, 2736 O'Donnell Street, Baltimore, 21224 on Monday, November 9 at 9:30 am. Interment Private.
